Ramayana: The Introduction is an upcoming Indian epic film scheduled for release on 6 November 2026 during the festival of Diwali.

This film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, with the screenplay written by Sriram Raghavan. It is based on one of the most important ancient texts in Hinduism, the Ramayana. The film is the first part of a planned two-part series.

Cast and Role

The cast of Ramayana (2026 Film) brings together an ensemble of talented actors in pivotal roles. Ranbir Kapoor plays a double role as Ram and Parshuram, portraying the heroic prince and the fierce sage. The music for the film is composed by Hans Zimmer (who is working on his first Indian project) and A. R. Rahman.
