India Premier League (IPL) 2022 is a professional Twenty20 cricket league also known by their sponsor TATA IPL. This is the 15th season of IPL established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007.
The Mega Auction of IPL 2022 is over. A total of 204 players were sold in this two-day event at Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bangalore. Of these, 137 were Indian and 67 were foreign players. All the 10 IPL franchises had entered the auction with 561 crores. Out of this, a total of Rs 549.70 crore was looted by the franchise. A total of 108 players got more than 1 crore worth. At the same time, there were a total of 11 players who got a price of more than 10 crores.

Ishan Kishan was the most expensive buy of the auction, bought by Mumbai Indians for ₹15.25 crore (US$2.0 million).[28] The most expensive foreign player was Liam Livingstone, bought by Punjab Kings for ₹11.50 crore (US$1.5 million).
All the franchises rebuilt their team for the upcoming tournament. The defending champions Chennai Super Kings have retained some of their old players, but also welcomed some new players. MS Dhoni-led CSK re-inducted Deepak Chahar in the team for Rs 14 crore in the auction. The team has the right balance of youth and experience.

Jofra Archer has won the 2019 World Cup trophy for England with his dangerous performance. Jofra Archer will now wreak havoc in IPL with Jasprit Bumrah.
