Shefali Shah got the Best Actress Award

IFFM Awards 2022: The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is underway. Held every year in Australia, the awards show celebrates the Indian film industry by screening some of the country’s most prominent and acclaimed films, TV shows and web series. The highlight of the festival is the Awards Night, where select awards are presented to the best actors from Indian cinema and last year’s OTT scene. This year’s main awards were distributed at a glittering ceremony in Melbourne on Sunday.

The 13th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne began on Friday, 12 August and will conclude on 30 August. On Sunday, 14 August, the Festival Awards Night was held at the Palais Theatre. Shefali Shah has hoisted the flag in this award show hosted by Rithvik Dhanjani. The actress has won the Best Actress Award for her film ‘Jalsa’.

At the same time, Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83’ and its star Ranveer Singh along with Prime Video web series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ and film ‘Jalsa’ have got big wins. On the other hand Jai Bhim and Gangubai Kathiawadi – the two films that got the most nominations failed to win a single award.
